Therapist

Principle Clinical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assessment

  • Performs ongoing psychosocial assessment of patient using designated assessment tools and additional evidence-based tools as clinically indicated

  • Assesses for patients’ strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences in addition to clinical diagnoses

  • Engages in interdisciplinary consultation and supervision to ensure accurate assessment and diagnosis

Treatment Planning

  • Develops treatment plan that is:

  • Based on comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment

  • Individualized

  • Strength-based

  • Solution-focused (based on patients’ past successes)

  • Integrative of psychosocial and pharmacological interventions

  • Revised based on ongoing assessment

  • Collaborative with patient and interdisciplinary team

Individual Therapy

  • Develops rapport with patients through nonjudgmental, empathetic approach

  • Uses cognitive-behavioral interventions to help patients gain insight into addiction and co-occurring disorders and begin to change maladaptive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

  • Uses principles of motivational interviewing to calibrate interventions

Group Therapy

  • Effectively facilitates group engagement around topics relevant to and supportive of recovery

  • Draws upon patients’ knowledge and insight to help them develop self-efficacy through the group process

  • Facilitates an environment of acceptance and mutual support in the group process

  • Manages group effectively so that patient participation is equitable and constructive

Family Engagement

  • Uses the assessment process to understand patient’s primary support system

  • With patient consent, engages key members of the primary support system in assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning

  • Psychoeducation

  • Effectively educates individual and family members on key aspects of recovery as assigned by the Clinical Director or Assistant Clinical Director.

Documentation

  • Prepares accurate, concise documentation of assessment and treatment

  • Records client progress as it relates to specified treatment goals

  • Uses Discharge summaries to concisely record course of treatment and discharge plansEthics

  • Adheres to his/her professional code of ethics.

  • Resolves ethical dilemmas through use of supervision, consultation, and an ethical decision making process

  • Complies with ARCA’s clinical policies and procedures

  • Two (2) or more years of previous experience in mental health assessment and treatment.

  • Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.

Nurse

Job Title: Medical Staff (MA, CAN, LPN, RN)

​

 Supervised by: Nursing Director

Job Summary: Provides medical care through physical and mental assessments, laboratory testing, plans of care, and therapeutic treatments. Knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral. Performs crisis intervention.

​

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Care Planning.

  • Remains familiar with, and adheres to, company policies and procedures.

  • Performs nursing assessments and reassessments as provider orders

  • Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain.

  • Responds to emergencies and delegates staff responsibilities during emergencies.

  • Continuously observes patient's behavior, mental status, and activities.

  • Formulates and implements patient plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team.

  • Revise’s plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluates overall plan for effectiveness.

  • Demonstrates the ability to perform crisis intervention and triage.

  • Coordinates and supervises patient care, as necessary.

  • Communicates appropriately and clearly to co-workers, providers, and patients

  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate individualized, optimal care for patients.

  • Delegates tasks to the healthcare team appropriately.

  • Treats patients with respect and dignity; provides emotional support.

Administrative Assistant

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:  Perform a wide variety of clinical and administrative duties for the daily operation of ARCA.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

  • Providing case management services to include advocacy, referrals, liaison to other agencies, individual and group interventions.

  • Answer and screen telephones, and direct calls to appropriate staff

  • Entering data to assist with billing and quality assurance.

  • Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff.

  • Exhibits ability to constructively deal with conflict and de-escalate situations to afford effective resolutions.

  • Exhibits willingness to ensure successful inter-departmental relationships.

  • Remain present and attentive to virtual conversations related to patient care and patient flow.

  • Operate office equipment such as; voice mail messaging systems, use word processing, spreadsheet, other software applications to prepare reports, invoices

  • Transmit correspondence and medical records by mail, e-mail, fax or e-fax.

  • Monitor use of office supplies to ensure all supplies are readily available.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Case Manager

Job Title: Case Manager​

Job Summary:  

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:

  • Complete reports to communicate information to partner agencies.

  • Advocate for patients in accessing substance abuse, mental health, and medical care.

  • Facilitate with provider/patient appointment, connecting the two and answering all questions that provider or patient has about current or future appointments.

  • Assist individuals by making referrals, connecting with other consumers and their communities at large to develop a network for information and support.

  • Assist individuals with identifying strengths and personal resources to aid in their setting and achieving recovery goals.

  • One-on-one interventions with patients to increase compliance and improve outcomes.

  • Liaison between ARCA and partner agencies.

  • Support nursing and physician services.

  • Provide supervision of drug testing.

  • Assist patients in applying for Medicaid and Medicare.

  • Complete appropriate documentation of all services provided.

  • Follow HIPAA regulations.

  • Gather and analyze quality data.

  • Adhere to a professional code of ethics.

  • Participate in supervision, consultation, and an ethical decision-making process.

  • Comply with policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Experience in positions requiring maintaining the strictest level of confidentiality.

  • Experience in positions requiring strict attention to detail and accuracy, above-average organizational skills, and maintaining priorities.

  • Demonstrated internal customer service skills, providing services to patients and or staff.

  • Intermediate PC skills to include MS Office (Windows, Word Processing, Excel, and Access).

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to effectively speak with staff and patients.

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment, functioning for the good of the team over the individual.
