About the Role

Job Summary: Provides nursing care through physical and mental assessments, laboratory testing, plans of care and therapeutic treatments. Knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral. Performs crisis intervention.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assessment and Care Planning.
Performs nursing assessments and reassessments per policy.
Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain.
Continuously observes patient's behavior, mental status and activities.
Formulates and implements patient plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team.
Revises plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluates overall plan for effectiveness.
Demonstrates the ability to perform crisis intervention and triage.
Coordinates and supervises patient care as necessary.
Communicates appropriately and clearly to the Nursing Director, co-workers, and Physicians.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate individualized, optimal care for patients.
Treats patients with respect and dignity; provides emotional support.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality.
Provides education to the patient concerning plans of care, compliance with the plan of care, medications and their side effects.
Functions as a patient advocate always.
Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of licensure.
Medication Management and Administration.
Follows the six (6) medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors.

Regulatory Requirements:
Registered Nurse Licensure in the State of Missouri
BLS Certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
